HYPERDIMENSION NEPTUNIA: THE ANIMATION is a new anime series based upon a popular video game series; I personally have never played the game series, but I found the anime to be rather interesting and overall unique. F and Compa were on their way to see Neptune when they bumped into someone who then gave them a flyer. Meanwhile, Histoire pointed out to Neptune and Nepgear that the Sharicite's Share energy is declining recently, meaning "the hearts of the people are gradually drifting away from Neptune." Nepgear pointed out to Neptune that the reason might be because she hasn't done anything to make the people like her lately. IF and Compa later arrived and agreed that Neptune needs to work harder. Wanting to escape from Histoire's lecture, Neptune decided to "get some schooling of goddess arts" from Noire. Neptune and Nepgear went on their way to Lastation. Noire initially declined to help, which resulted in Neptune to tease her about her attitude being the reason why people say she doesn't have any friends. Nepgear went to find Uni, and they ended up conversing about how Noire is treating Uni as a sister and which of the CPU Candidates will be able to transform first. Nepgear received a text from Rom, stating that she knows that Nepgear is in Lastation. The series does require the viewer to pay complete attention as it does move at a fast pace , and the story does get quite complex at times, leaving you middle confused. In Lowee, Rom and Ram complained to an occupied Blanc about why they can't visit other nations, infuriating Blanc. Blanc resumed her webcam chat with Vert after the twins left from her outburst of irritation. Back in Lastation, Noire decided to help Neptune on learning the duties of a CPU. Seeing Neptune as one that can't handle paperwork, IF suggested teaching Neptune about being a goddess out on a mission. Neptune accepted the quest, a monster extermination job near Planeptune, that Noire picked for her. Noire handed the task of defeating the overrunning Dogoos in Nasuune Highlands to Neptune. Despite the overwhelming amount of Dogoos present, Neptune succeeded in defeating them all with Nepgear, Compa, and IF's help. The world that has been set up is very original and has its own life to it. After watching Neptune took care of Nasuune Highlands, Noire went to Toruune Cave. Noire was overwhelmed until Neptune arrived and helped her. Neptune and Noire was praised by the locals for defeating the monsters within the vicinity. In contrast to Neptune's hyper active and energetic behavior, Nepgear is a very shy girl who will over-apologize for even the tiniest of things. Once she has made a friend, no matter what they think of her later she will hold them closely, such as when Uni angrily left and began to hate Nepgear upon finding out that Nepgear fled and left their sisters behind. Perhaps the only thing she shares with her older sister is the fact she is also an airhead. In Planeptune, the Sharicite's power have increased due to gained Shares, but it was unknown whether it was due to Neptune completing her assigned mission or pictures of Nepgear that she accidentally sent and leaked on the Internet. On Lowee, Blanc overexerts herself with work, while her sisters Rom and Ram are pulling pranks much to her annoyance. Neptune, Nepgear, Vert, Noire, and Uni make a visit to Lowee and take Rom and Ram to an amusement park, while Blanc stays behind to continue working. But their plan was foiled when Neptune, Noire, and Vert arrive and use their HDD powers. IF and Nepgear arrive too late, only to be shocked by the sight of the captured CPUs. When the CPU's get captured, Nepgear tries to go save them, but IF stops her and they ride back to Leanbox. We will leave it there but the series was entertaining and well paced. It is certainly a mature series; A recommend for any fans of action based anime series with a twist. Overall: 3.5/ 5

Who the hell would think a show about volleyball would be so entertaining or even remotely interesting? So lets get into what its all about; Shōyō Hinata is the main protagonist of the Haikyuu!! Hinata's dream is to become strong enough to spike past tall blockers just like what the Small Giant once did. That's why he specializes in jumping to compensate for his lack of height Shoyo Hinata is cycling around the streets when he pauses to watch a volleyball match on TV. On it is a volleyball match featuring a player nicknamed "Little Giant", who Hinata is inspired by. Hinata decides to start a volleyball team in his school with his schoolmates (though most of them aren't interested in volleyball). In the end, Kageyama easily wins (3-0) but Hinata vows revenge. Example of the combination of Hinata and Kageyama Hinata arrives at his new school, Karasuno High School (the same school where the "Little Giant" used to attend), determined to join the volleyball club and one day defeat Kageyama. The third years agree but on one condition: if Kageyama and Hinata lose, as long as the third years are around, Kageyama will never play as setter. He also tries to learn from mistakes made in past matches and can improve his skills merely by watching his opponents and teammates and trying to copy their movements, although most of the time he fails. After doing many flying falls during the summer training camp, Hinata's agility improved greatly. What's more, thanks to Bokuto, Hinata learned to how to feint which helps him surprise blockers. Hinata has also admitted to Keishin Ukai that when he's spiking and he's over the net, he can see the movements his opponents make and even the looks on their faces. The Formidable Ally Sawamura accepts the match proposal from Hinata and Kageyama, but he alters it. Sawamura reveals he will play on the opposing team and places Tanaka Ryuunosuke as Kageyama and Hinata's teammate for the match. Kageyama and Hinata meet fellow first years Kei Tsukishima and Tadashi Yamaguchi. In the secret morning practices, Kageyama, Hinata, and Tanaka work on improving Hinata's serve receives and his spikes. The show is very humorous, and the humour actually works because it is so well written. The dialogue comes surreal with great delivery from each of the players. The View From the Summit The 3-on-3 practice match that will determine Kageyama and Hinata's future with the volleyball club begins with Kageyama, Hinata, and 2nd year Ryuunosuke battling Tsukishima, Yamaguchi, and 3rd year captain Sawamura. Kageyama begins to fall into his old setting habits, making it hard for Hinata and Ryuunosuke to spike the ball. It looks like it will be an easy win in set 1 for the captain's team, but then Kageyama and Hinata start to succeed with their quick attack, which could completely change the outcome of the match. The new members Kageyama and Hinata begin to get in sync. As Kageyama's sets start hitting Hinata's hands every time, Tsukishima is forced to change his blocking tactics. This frees Tanaka up on the other side, and Kageyama, Hinata, and Ryuunosuke's team is able to rally and win the 3-on-3 match. Kageyama and Hinata are accepted as official team members. However there is one condition: Tobio Kageyama must act as the setter for the entire match. Karasuno goes to its practice match against Aobajousai High. Before the match even begins, Kageyama runs into his old teammate, Kindaichi Yutaro, who continually calls him "King of the Court" and declares that he will defeat Kageyama. As the series progresses; the suspense builds. The actually moment of volleyball action is some of the best I’ve ever seen in an anime series, which is credited to the great directing in each episode. Once the match gets underway though, Kageyama and Hinata's quick attack proves to be an effective weapon. but Ittetsu comes up with a plan that he believes will convince Keishin into becoming the coach: setting up a practice match with Nekoma. After hearing about the practice match, Keishin Ukai agrees to become Karasuno's coach but after the practice match finishes, he's quitting. Now, Asahi must prove that he deserves the ace title and get past the triple block of Kageyama, Tanaka, and Tsukishima to regain his confidence. The practice match between Karasuno and the Neighborhood Association continues, the Neighborhood team having won the first set. Ukai sees firsthand how Hinata is the ultimate decoy and learns how quickly Kageyama and Hinata have grown together as a duo. During a team jog, Hinata gets lost and runs into a volleyball player in a red jersey named Kenma. After hesitating to decide on a starting lineup, Ukai goes with Daichi, Nishinoya, Asahi, Tanaka, Tsukishima, Kageyama, and Hinata. Karasuno's players receive their jerseys and Hinata has the number 10, the same number as his idol, the "Little Giant." Nekoma and Karasuno line up outside and meet each other face-to-face. Anyway we will leave it at there; as there is so much more to this quirky series than you would expect. Overall we found this series very fast paced, clever and highly fun. It just proves you can take any concept or idea and turn it into an anime very, very successfully. SPECIAL FEATURES
