Nisekoi False Love is a new Anime series that presents itself as a romantic comedy, yes that is true to a degree but this series is actually quite funny and have an interesting array of charters. Raku Ichijō , the son of a Yakuza boss, wishes to live an ordinary life and become a public servant. Raku realizes he has lost his locket that contains memories of his first love, because of the collision, and asks Chitoge to help look for it. After several days their relationship gets worse that Raku tells Chitoge to stop looking. Afterwards, Raku's father tells Raku that he is to be in a fake dating relationship with a girl from a rival gang in order for their gangs to make peace, but the girl turns out to be Chitoge. Raku Ichijō presents himself to be quite civilized and highly altruistic, except when he encounters a person with a lack of respect or regard for him or others around him. During the date, Chitoge tells Raku to get her a soda but as he leaves, gangsters try to flirt with her and make her come with them. At the bathroom, Chitoge overhears a Yakuza member saying that he isn't convinced that Raku and Chitoge are really in a relationship, so Chitoge decides to amp up the act however, when she returns, Raku and Chitoge encounter with Kosaki which causes difficulty for Raku to tell her about them "dating". Chitoge ends up telling her the that their dating but gets mad at Raku almost spilling the truth and leaves. Kosaki answers no and leaves but as she gets home, she is shown to have a key and regrets telling Raku that she has seen his locket before. For example, when Raku lost his pendant once again from the chain being broken, Chitoge had secretly gotten the Beehive gang to help fix it for him and gave it back later that night. This is when the series has elements of suspense, leaving you wondering what is coming up next in the storyline. She's somewhat oblivious when it comes to love and others' love interests, like how she didn't know what Tsugumi's "symptoms" were, which was actually love. Throughout the series, it is noted that she is a very bad cook due to the fact that she never measures ingredients and adds random things to the dish that she thinks will make the dish taste better. Raku also noted that she felt more womanly as Chitoge was meek and quite happy when he tried to buy a replacement ribbon for her and when she hugged him for finding her actual ribbon, but all in all, prefers her usual self better. It should be noted that she treasured the ribbon for two key reasons: first, because her mother gave it to her, and second, because Raku told her when they were young that it would look good on her. The characters begin to develop at quite a rapid rate, also the pacing is appropriately spaced out. Raku and Chitoge experience difficulty in putting up their fake relationship act after their first date, and since Kosaki met them at the park for their date, she spread word about them dating to their classmates. They try telling their classmates that their relationship is fake but Chitoge's bodyguard, Claude, watches over them to check if Raku and Chitoge are actually dating. This gives Raku a hard time to tell Kosaki the misunderstanding of his relationship with Chitoge. This is when the series becomes awkwardly funny. Chitoge becomes furious at first but willingly accepts Raku's offer to help her make the notebook because he used to make one too when he had trouble making friends. Overall a quirky and unusual series, it is funny and keeps going at a great pace. It does stand out of the flood romantic anime series dues to the chapters and Yakuza idea. Overall check it out.
